Laying the Groundwork for a Big Day

Behind The scene

Preparations for the Annual Faculty Meet have been underway for months, with the host college focusing meticulously on the small details that make a big difference. Multiple committees have been constituted to ensure smooth execution, including the Steering Committee, Program Committee, Logistics Committee, Media, IT and Communication Committee.

To facilitate efficient and timely coordination, WhatsApp groups have been formed, enabling instant communication across teams and colleges. Focal persons from each college have been nominated to streamline coordination and ensure that information flows seamlessly between the organising team, the Steering Committee, and participating colleges. From finalising the programme schedule and designing the logo and website to selecting menus, shaping the event theme, and arranging logistics and technical support, every aspect of the Meet is being thoughtfully planned.

At the centre of this collective effort is the Steering Committee, led by the Vice Chancellor Dasho Chewang Rinzin, providing us with academic direction and guides the overall structure of the programme to ensure that the Meet remains purposeful, inclusive, and impactful.

Beyond schedules, sessions, and logistics, the Annual Faculty Meet is ultimately about people, reconnecting with colleagues, building new professional relationships, and strengthening a shared sense of identity as members of the Royal University of Bhutan.

As faculty prepare to gather from 2–4 February 2026 at the College of Science and Technology, months of behind-the-scenes work are steadily coming together. The inaugural RUB Annual Faculty Meet is shaping up to be not merely an event, but a strong foundation for sustained collaboration, innovation, and academic excellence across the University.
