Faculty members from eleven colleges under Royal University of Bhutan gathered for the grand reception dinner that marked the opening night of the Annual Faculty Meet. The evening was graced by Honourable Vice Chancellor, Dasho Drungpa, and Officials from RIGSS which set a warm tone for the days ahead.
Welcoming the gathering, the President of the College of Science and Technology expressed the College’s honour in hosting the Annual Faculty Meet, an event that reflects not only institutional collaboration but also a shared journey of learning and experience across the University. The welcome address was followed by vibrant performances by renowned Bhutanese singers, Mr. Sonam Wangdi and Ms. Pema Tshoki, whose energy and melody enlivened the evening. The performances soon drew enthusiastic participation from faculty members across colleges. Karaoke sessions further added to the festive spirit, with participants enthusiastically taking the stage and engaging with the music.
As the evening progressed, the gathering moved beyond formalities. Over a shared meal and in a lively atmosphere, faculty from diverse disciplines and campuses connected through informal conversations and reflections on shared experiences. Laughter and thoughtful exchanges reinforced a strong sense of community and shared purpose that unites all eleven colleges under the RUB umbrella, setting a positive tone for a productive and cohesive Faculty Meet.
